Music at South Elementary

In Music, we integrate with the core classes through learning about the history of songs we are studying and what was happening in culture at the time the composer wrote the song. We integrate languages as we study and learn the meaning of songs we perform in foreign languages. The songs we sing are written in numerous styles to include Jazz, Classical, Blues, Soft Rock, and Folk. Music classes are visual, aural, kinesthetic, and performance-based and I never smile brighter than when I see my students on stage shining in performance and enjoying the experience.
